Flash SEO
Many SEO consultants will tell you that Flash SEO is an oxymoron - that Flash cannot be optimized. This is simply not true.
Flash has great power for making engaging and rich websites and online assets, but if these sites can’t be fully crawled by the search engines, and are therefore left out of the search engine results, then that power has no value. As Flash has become more prevalent in Web sites, search engines and developers have neglected to innovate in terms of Flash SEO. Until recently this was largely viewed as a search engine problem to be solved by Google, Microsoft and Yahoo! while developers focused on creating rich content.
Adobe reached out to Global Strategies for help in creating Flash SEO guidelines to educate the developer marketplace on these issues and help them understand how to leverage the benefits of Flash design without sacrificing its ability to be crawled and indexed by search engines. We are proud to be a part of this initiative to educate the Flash developer community about Flash SEO best practices.
